Les Miserables opened across America last night, and according to box office estimates, $18 million worth of moviegoers sought out the French Revolution musical.

Starring Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, Eddie Redmayne, Helena Bonham Carter, Sacha Baron Cohen and Samantha Barks, the big screen incarnation of one of the longest running musicals in history was also equally loved by theatergoers, with them giving the film an "A" rating according to CinemaScore.

Much of the excitement stems from director Tom Hooper's decision to have all the actors sing live, as opposed to recording their performances months earlier, and lip-synching along on set. With over 25 songs to choose from (including Suddenly, an original composition Hugh Jackman sings as Jean Valjean), the lyrics linger in the air long after the movie ends. But what is your favorite performance from Les Miserables?
It's hard to argue with Samantha Barks' heart-breaking rendition of On My Own (which she previously performed at the 25th Anniversary concert and in the West End production from 2010 - 2011), while many have said Anne Hathaway's unedited performance of I Dreamed A Dream will not only snag her a Best Supporting Actress nomination, but a win as well.
So what was your favorite performance? Sound off below!
